Tina Attenborough

Tina Attenborough

Solicitor and Director

Tina has over 30 years legal experience and undertakes both contentious and non-contentious employment law work & training for employers and workplace and commercial mediation for disputants, in a wide range of sectors, including education, leisure, manufacturing, construction and professional services. She has a wealth of experience in a variety of areas, in particular running complex Tribunal cases, seeking injunctions and more generally in relation to Unfair Dismissal, all types of Discrimination, Whistle-blowing, TUPE related claims, Disciplinary, Redundancy, and Executive Severance. Tina also provides a wide range of retained services guiding and supporting to her client's with general day to day workplace issues with a view to keeping them out of tribunal hearings!

Tina also teaches Employment Law on the Legal Practice Course at the Universtiy of Derby, she is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, The Law Society of England and Wales, the Derby and District Law Society, the National Sole Practitioner's Group and the Derby Equality and Diversity Network. Tina is the Chair of the East Midlands Sole Practitioners Group, sits on the Executive Committee and mentors Law Students at the University of Derby and has held various School Governor roles since 2003 at both Primary and Secondary Schools, most recently as Vice Chair at Allestree Woodlands School in Derby.

In her spare time she enjoys running/walking the dog, golf and yoga, being with family and friends, and traveliing when time permits!

Sue Jennings

Solicitor and Employment Law Lecturer

Sue joined Attenborough Law as a Consultant Solicitor in 2012. She qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and has since worked in private practice in Derby specialising in Employment Law. Over the past 6 years, Sue has worked extensively with various dentist businesses across England advising on employment, partnership, business structure and PCT contract issues. Since 2006, Sue has combined practice with teaching, working for the University of Derby as a Senior Lecturer of Employment Law to undergraduate and post graduate law students and HR managers (including the Legal Practice Course and CIPD accredited courses). In 2009 Sue delivered the keynote speech at the Fitness to Practice Conference for the NHS East Midlands Workforce Deanery on “The Relationship between Fitness to Practice and Disability Discrimination Law” and was invited to repeat this for Nottinghamshire County Council.

Becky Madden

Becky Madden

Solicitor

Becky joined Attenborough Law in 2016. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and worked in Nottingham for a specialist Employment law firm and then at Nelsons as an Associate in their Employment law department.

Becky is experienced in all aspects of employment law including unfair dismissal claims; business transfers; redundancies; discrimination complaints; disciplinary & grievance procedures and Employment Tribunal representation. Becky also enjoys delivering training to clients and speaking at seminars.

Becky is kept busy with a young family and enjoys plenty of exercise followed by the occasional glass of wine.

 

Rachel Hill

PA and Finance

Rachel joined Attenborough Law in November 2015. She has previously worked for a firm of Solicitors in Ripley, Derbyshire undertaking their marketing activities, as well as cashier work and secretarial duties.  In her spare time Rachel is passionate about food and health and enjoys cooking healthy meals that are still tasty!  She also enjoys walking her two dogs, practising yoga and various holistic treatments.
