We offer all new clients a free HR Audit!

So what is an HR Audit?

A full HR audit involves an objective look at the company’s HR policies, practices, procedures and strategies to protect the company, establish best practices and identify opportunities for improvement.

An objective review of the company’s “current state” can help you evaluate whether specific practice areas are adequate, legal and/or effective. The results can provide decision-makers with the information necessary to decide what areas need improvement.

An HR audit can be structured to be either comprehensive or specifically focused, within the constraints of time, budgets and staff. There are several types of audits, and each is designed to accomplish different objectives. Some of the more common types are:

Compliance

Focuses on how well the company is complying with current national and local laws and regulations.

Best Practices

Helps the organisation maintain or improve a competitive advantage by comparing its practices with those of companies identified as having exceptional HR practices.

Strategic

Focuses on the strengths and weaknesses of systems and processes to determine whether they align with the HR departments and/or the company’s strategic business plan.

Function-Specific

Focuses on a specific area in the HR function (e.g., payroll, performance management, records retention, etc.).

Attenborough Law’s Free initial visit and HR Audit is function specific and aimed at getting to understand your business, increasing your compliance with best practice, current legislation and minimising RISK. The idea is to save you from unexpected future cost and minimising the risk to your bottom line!

Due to the constant and regular changes to employment law, it is extremely important for organisations to regularly review their contracts, policies and procedures in order to ensure your HR suite of policy documentation remains up to date.

The purpose of our free HR Audit following a review of your employment contracts, policies and procedures is to identify areas of RISK within them that require change in order to protect your business, reduce your RISK, as well as making them legally compliant and bringing them into line with current best practice.
